Conditions#

Conditions are special Traits that have specific mechanical effects. Like most Traits, they can be removed with a diffculty 2 test, with 2 Momentum (as part of a successful action), or with Determination - unless noted otherwise.

These are the common ones, but you may come up with more during play. GM has final say over a condition’s effect and cost.

Bound X#

The affected character cannot move. Ranged attacks against them enjoy -1 difficulty. Removal is a difficulty X test, or costs X Momentum.

Burning X#

The affected character suffers X damage at the end of each round.

Prone#

The affected character cannot move. Ranged attacks against them suffer +1 difficulty, melee attacks enjoy -1 difficulty. Removal is a minor action.

Quickened#

The affected character can move one extra zone when taking the Movement or Rush actions.

Seized#

The affected character is held by another character, and remains within reach of them for the duration of the condition. They suffer +1 difficulty for attacking any other targets. Removal is a contest test.

Slowed#

The affected character must spend 1 Momentum when taking the Movement or Rush actions.

Stunned#

The affected character cannot take actions. This condition ends at the end of the next round.
