Your players might have their own idea for a companion. With these rules, they can create it:

  • Start with 7 in all skills, transfer points between them however you see fit. A skill cannot go below 3 or above 12.
  • Stress is equal to the Survive score.
  • Come up with two personal traits for the companion - short descriptions that characterize them.
  • Add one level-3 focus. You may invent it, it does not have to come from the list available to player characters.
  • Choose one NPC ability.
  • It has a basic melee attack action that deals 2 damage.

Then choose TWO among the options below (you may choose a single option twice):

  • Increase focus scores by +4 (in total). New focuses may be added in this way. A focus cannot go above 5.
  • Add an ability, you may invent it (with GM discretion).
  • Add an action, you may invent it (with GM discretion).
  • Add 2 points of armor.
