Abilities #

Abilities are special rules that apply to NPCs. While some may have unique abilities that are specific to them, the common ones are listed here.

Airborne #

This character can fly.


Aquatic #

This character can swim and breathe underwater.


Chaos as Mana #

Chaos may be spent instead of Mana.


Climbing #

This character can scale walls and stick to other surfaces at ease.


Determined #

This character can make a Determination use by spending 3 Chaos.


Helper #

This character can assist allies within reach as a free action.


Menacing X #

When the character enters a scene, add X Chaos.


Night Vision #

Can see through darkness and smoke. Ignore Traits that hinder sight.


Protector #

Allies within reach are Protected, attacks against them suffer +1 difficulty. This effect does not stack.


Passive Regeneration X #

The character recovers X stress at the start of each round.


Shooter #

The base difficulty for ranged attacks for this character is 1.


Swarm #

This character is a swarm of small creatures. On skill tests, it rolls Xd20, where X is the amount of stress it can endure. As a minor action, it may split to multiple smaller swarms, or coalesce to a larger one, totalling the same stress. Any new swarm (smaller or larger) acts at the next round. Swarms have no limit to the Bonus Damage Chaos use. They have a weakness to Blast and Zone affects (+2 damage, +1 difficulty).


Two Turns #

The character acts two times per round.


Wrathful X #

The first time in combat the character reduces received damage to 2 by taking a negative Trait, it adds 2 Chaos.


Immune to X #

The character is unharmed by X.


Resistant to X #

The character is resistant to X. Related damage is reduced by -2, related difficulties are reduced by -1.


Weakness to X #

The character is sensitive to X. Related damage is increased by +2, related difficulties are increased by +1.
